Looking for nice spicy rice to complement tandoori chicken. So, I am just wanting to invent some kind of rice. So, I try to think regional, spice-wise, herb-wise.
So, tandoori chicken, maybe I will get some lemon and some garam masala to my rice just to give a brewer twist. That's what I am going to do. So, I have got a nice batch of rice but it cooks for about eight minutes.
We flush down the cold water, drain it out, so it's got a nice fresh and fragrant rice. Here is the end result, nice and fluffy. Just perfectly cooked, exactly what I am looking for.
So, I don't really go heavy on my salt, peppers. So, I am going to flavor it with my lime, my lemon and my herbs. That for me, so I squeeze a lime through that, a lemon, that citrus just brings out the rice really nice.
This is going to complement my tandoori chicken. Again, my way of doing it, my way of cooking a little leaf to the rice, must be coriander, again it gives color. It deserves a bit of onion, so I am going to put a nice banana through that.
Nice. Get that going. You can add yoghurt to this.
That will be quite nice, brings out the flavor. So I will just put some through. So this is going to compliment my tandoori chicken, a nice little flavored rice, regional dish, and on goes my spices there.
Again, it is going to give a nice little color. I can add some tomatoes to this. So if I was doing an Italian dish, again I want to be doing some of the tomato uri, basil, pasta, if I was to do that.
It doesn't matter pasta to rice. Some different spice, I am thinking again Chinese. More they are orient to soy sauce type spices.
But this will give enough zing, enough bite to my dish, must be a garlic through that. So it's going to be preheated on the microwave, nice and warm to go with our tandoori chicken. Nice little garlic there in chops.
Like I said, an easy way to flavor any dish is to think regional and personal preference. If you don't put it through, there is no harm. The rule is plan it properly.
That's the golden rule. That's how you have to do, knowing how to cook rice, knowing how to cook and when to put the spices and the herbs. That's the rule, the rest will come naturally.
That's the important thing, it's knowing how to cook the rice properly, knowing how to put the amount of olive oil for it and the correct amount as well. The rest, like I said, will follow through quite nicely. Add a few chives again, add some onion leaves.
No salt, no pepper corn through that. And nice light flavored rice dish to go with my tandoori chicken, beautiful. That's how I flavor my rice. .
