There is a saying that if you find something that interests you, something that you enjoy doing, then it is never work for you to accomplish what you are doing.  The purpose of such a saying is to explain that if you are to focus your mind on even that one thing, then you can accomplish anything. How to focus your mind? Focusing your mind is a great way to get into being very successful. Focusing your mind gives you great clarity. It helps you achieve what you want to achieve, so it's a really useful thing to do.

I'm going to talk to you about how to really get focused. The first way is to settle yourself down, sit down, close your eyes, and really just go inside yourself and allow your mind to just relax. Let go of the days' events, try to let go of the mind chatter, and just allow your mind a little bit of space just to free itself up, and just gently allow thoughts to come and go.

Spend a few minutes in this mindful state. Some people might get into it by going into meditation; others just sit down and think, "I'm going to relax". So, relaxing your brain first before you go into fine focus will really power up focusing.

Once you've spent a few minutes relaxing and getting into that very gentle state, choose a thing you want to focus on, and then open your eyes, and really, just concentrate and put your attention purely and wholly on whatever you're choosing to focus on. Be aware that background noises, mobile phones, having email right next to you, the things in life that interrupt you, you get to decide whether they're on or off. So be radical, if you want to focus, switch off the normal everyday things you may have around you, and close your door; you can decide to be on your own and get into that focus zone, and just allow, actually tell your mind, tell your unconscious mind, "I'm going to focus on this," for the next however many minutes, and just apply the principle of single mindful focus.

And before you know it, provided you're interested in what you're doing, your mind will just go into this very lovely focused zone of clarity, and whatever you're choosing to do, you'll probably be very successful when you're in that zone of focus. Being focused gets you great results, and the key thing about being focused is to lose the mind chatter and to lose the everyday rumblings that go on through our minds, and we can do that by just relaxing to begin with, and allowing your mind to go free, and once you do that, you give up the space that allows your mind to get really focused. Something that you may have to learn; something that we can all do, and the more we practice at it, the stronger we get at it, and it's a fantastic and really effective way for running your brain and training it to get successful at whatever you're doing. .
