How To Fold Trousers Without Creases
Clive Gilkes of London tailors Richard Anderson Ltd, will show you the best way to fold trousers without creases. Wear trousers without creases at all times with this helpful video from VideoJug.
Step 1: Fold after ironing
For best results, fold immediately after ironing.
Step 2: Lay flat
If the trousers don't have front and back creases, lay them flat. The bottom should be facing down.
Step 3: Smooth
Smooth down the fabric with your hands and pull the seams straight.
Step 4: Fold over
Now, fold one leg over the other so that one leg lies on top of the other. Smooth them down.
Step 5: Fold into thirds
Holding the trousers by the waist, fold the top third of the trousers down onto the middle third. Finally, fold the bottom third of the legs over the folded part.
To avoid creasing, place a few sheets of tissue paper on top of one of the trouser legs. Then fold the other leg over so the tissue paper lies in between the legs.
Now, fold into thirds as before.
The tissue paper will cushion the folds and stop the fabric from creasing. This is particularly useful when packing.
