How To French Braid Your Hair Like Lauren Conrad
The French Braid bang, popularized by Lauren Conrad, is among the most sought-after hairstyles in the world. Videojug shows you an easy way to achieve this attractive, trendy hairstyle.
Hi. On this video, I'm going to be showing you how to French braid your hair like Lauren Conrad's. It's really important that, while you are working, the rest of the hair is kept away.
It's really important that you keep this nice and clean because it makes it a lot easier to braid. You'll obviously, if it's easier slightly doing it on yourself than kind of me showing you kind of from here, it's just practice. So, I'm just going to start with my three sections of hair.
With this sort of technique and with the ones that she tends to wear, they're not really, really precise and exact. So, if you do get slight little sections of hair that are a little bit baggy, if you got a little bit square off to your fringes where little sort of sections come out, it really doesn't matter. If anything, it kind of adds to the effect, especially if you got your hair a little bit wavy as well.
So, all I'm doing, while I'm plaiting, I'm taking a section of hair from each side. I'm not pulling it majorly tight. But, obviously, you do want to make sure you are clearing sort of around your hairline and your forehead to not kind of end up with lots of hair around the front, and we're going to be using a really small, little hair band.
They're really small, clear hair bands. They're just really easy to break out when you've finished using them just with a comb or with your own fingers. Now, we're just going to use a couple of hair grips.
The best way to keep this secure is to cross your grips when you're securing it to the head. Hold the braid through there, and you should feel it nice and tight onto your scalp there. So, another sort of thing you can do to add a little bit more sort of drama to it is taking your top section really gently (only a couple of sections maybe) and just lightly back comb the hair.
If your hair is quite short, this is perfect because it does help hide any kind of grips or any kind of sections where you've been cutting. I'm just using a soft brush just to kind of break that up just because everything normally works around. Her braids are quite loose and quite soft.
So, again, no major work really needed. When it's all done, just a little bit of shine spray, if you've got any kind of little wispy ends, this will tend to kind of tuck them out the way. Just a little quick mist all over! Let's give you a little bit more gloss, and just work with what you can see.
What you see is what everyone else sees. So, a nice bit of height in the rear texture. And that is how you braid your hair like Lauren Conrad's.
