In this video, I'm going to talk about how to gain muscle mass fast. What I'm going to show you is the best lower body exercise and the best upper body exercise to achieve this. First of all, squats.
For squats, you want to lift the bar up, rest on your neck, feet shoulder-width apart. Going down and going up. Down and up.
If you are quite well-trained, you can do some deep squat. A deep squat is when your bum goes all the way down to floor and then you come up. Some people say it's not very good for you, it's staying true for beginners.
If you're used to doing squats, it's actually a very good exercise. In terms of how heavy you should go, you want to make it challenging enough that you can do 5 or 6 reps quite easily but you can't be more than 15. If you can do more than 15, it's too easy for you.
It's always a good idea to have someone behind you, spotting you, so if it gets too heavy, it can grab you and help you along. Next, I'm going to show you the bench press. Bench press works your upper body pushing muscles.
To be technical, your pectoral major, your interior deltoids and your triceps. Lie on the bench, hands shoulder-width apart, and up, and down, slowly, and again. Because you are lifting it above your head, it's a good idea to have someone behind you, just in case it gets a bit too much.
If you don't have a spotter, I recommend not pushing 100%, maybe pushing by 90% and then pulling away down. It's best to be safe and not work it too much. So, to recap, best lower body exercises are squats and best upper body exercise is the bench press.
