How To Gel Wax Back Hair
A sexy surfer mane, bold bristles and even some macho chest fur can be hot. But having back hair is not! In just 5 steps, VideoJug will show you how to achieve a back so smooth that you won't want to cover it up, by showing you how to gel wax back hair properly.
Step 1: You will need…
- 2-3 Cleansing wipes
- A waxing product
- A wax applicator
- 3-5 Cotton cloth strips
- A mild tolerance for discomfort
- A helper
Step 2: Wash Your Back.
Your skin must be free of oils and dirt so that the wax will stick. Dry your back thoroughly.
Step 3: Apply gel wax.
Now that your back is prepped, you're ready to use the wax. Scoop out a teaspoon of wax and have your helper apply a thin and even layer to your back. Spread down two more rows of wax side by side.
Step 4: Apply cloth to wax.
Quickly place the cotton cloth on the waxed area.
Don't even think about trying to reposition the cloth. Once it's made contact with the wax, you're committed.
Smooth the cloth with your palm three times. Then, at a sharp angle, as close to the skin as possible, grit your teeth and yank hard and fast!
Move the cloth, smoothe it down, and keep on waxing. There's no need to reapply the wax until it's needed, after 2 or 3 more pulls.
Repeat steps two and three until you've removed the unwanted hair.
Step 5: Rinse your back.
Gently wipe away any wax residue with cold water and a towel.
Step 6: Moisturize with a non-pore clogging lotion.
You don't want to get lazy on this step. We've got one word for you: Bacne (= Back Acne). It's important to apply a product that will deter ingrown hairs and bumps.
