Did you know there's hidden treasures in your neighborhood?
I bet you there's one within a mile of your house, and it's all part of a fast growing sport called geocaching. And the only thing you need to find a hidden treasure is a hand held GPS.
You can go to the www.geocaching.com website and put in your city or your country and a postal code and it will come up with a list of hidden treasures near your house. Then you enter the coordinates in your GPS and off you go.

You'll be amazed at all the different kinds of geocaches there are all over the world. In fact, as of right now there's over 400 thousand geocaches everywhere in the world.
Some are what's referred to as a traditional cache. Now this can be an ammo box filled with assorted goodies that you can either take and exchange, or leave. And in just about every geocache there's a small log book that you can log in, sign your name, and then log it in on the website.
You'll be amazed at all the different styles of geocaches there are out there and all the different hide techniques. Some are really difficult to locate.

Geocache Tools

Like check this out, here's a railing and the coordinates lead me right to it. So I know there's a geocache here somewhere. I've looked high and low and it's time to break out some tools. So using my little mirror I scooped around this railing and sure enough I found a small metal tube that has a log inside.
Some are definitely harder than others, so why not punch in your location and see what hidden treasure is in your neighborhood.
