The challenge is to make the cigarette butt go down into the bottle, and you can only touch the plastic ring. Most people would try to hit the plastic ring here on the side. That will make the cigarette jump in the air.

The Method

So when you do it be sure to hit it like this. If you paid good attention, you would see that I actually hit the plastic ring inside, and not outside. This will make the plastic ring contract, instead of expanding. But be sure to make it look like you are hitting it on the side, then you can repeat this trick again and again.
