Today, I'm going to show you how to get auburn hair. We're going to do this today in a form, as a color rinse or a semi-permanent so that we don't cover up the highlights, and in the front area, when we finish, we're going to keep a lighter auburn, and the rest of the hair or the base of the hair, it's going to be a deeper auburn. And because we're using a semi-permanent, it needs an applicator bottle.

I'm applying it to damp hair, just making sure that it's evenly damp right the way through, and I'm leaving the hairline out. I'm going to come back to that and do that last just so that we can keep it nice and clean. So I'm just making sure that I'm taking fine sections right the way through so that we're getting complete coverage on the rear area.

So once I've got full coverage on my roots, I'm going to go through, comb the color right through to the ends, and I'm just going to go through and make sure that I've completely covered that hairline. You can clean up any staining afterwards. It's going to go right around that full hairline, and just check that it's all completely covered.

So, now that I've got 100% coverage of the hair, I made sure that the product's even right throughout the hair from root to end. I'm going to process it under heat for 15 minutes. So I've let the color process for 15 minutes under the heat, shampooed, conditioned and blow-dried, and that's how you get auburn hair. .
