Okay, so I've got some medium sized tongs, which have been on for a while to heat up, and I'm going to start taking diagonal sections going back. That's a nice, easy section for you to reach, kind of want to achieve a look like Jennifer Aniston or Kate Hudson, their kind of beachy waves, so still quite groomed looking, not too messy. So, take a nice slim section, spray it with a little bit of hairspray, and use the tongs in a vertical angle, coming into the face, making sure you get all those ends in.

If any drop out, you can just work them back in. Again, make sure you don't do it right up to the root, just about three, four inches away. Just let the curl loosely fall out.

Just making sure I'm combing through every single section that I do as well, it just keeps all the sort of stray hairs from becoming frizzy or knotted. Again, just in this very back area, it's nice and easy for you to do as well because I don't want to do the whole lot. I'm leaving it about five or six inches away from the root.

When you're doing it yourself, you'll be able to pull the hair right around to the side and leave all of that through there. Just again, because it's quite a loose curl, we don't want it to look curly, we want it to be more of a wave. So if it's a bit looser through the back, it just looks that much softer.

So I'm just going to move around to the other side. We've got a bit of a side, sort of sweepy fringe that we're working with here, so I've just pre-blow dried that, put a little bit of a bevel in it, and we don't want to put in any curl into that, we want it to stay nice and sleek, just working with the same sort of shaped section, working vertically back and through the mid-lengths and the ends. So again, around the front, just about three inches away from the root, just so we get a little bit more curl coming from the front of the hair.

Again, remembering, as we come around to the back, pulling the hair forward, closer to your face, just leaving a little bit more hair that's left straight. Again, just where it's layered, just on the very ends, use a little bit of serum as well, just to really start pulling them down. We want to still keep it looking nice and groomed, so the serum will just help with the shine.

Just start by sort of, working your fingers into it, pulling the curl out so it's more of a wavy look. Just bring the hair over the crown, just to give a nice, sort of natural volume. Okay? And there's how to create our beachy kind of wave look.
