How To Get Big On YouTube

In this video, I'm going to talk about how to get big on YouTube. Now, before you even start your video, before you even start filming, you need to think about having informative content, educational content, something that people out there need. So, do a little bit of research to find out what people are interested in.

Find out what things are up in your market. It may be that thousands of other people are doing similar videos to you. So, find something where there are demands.

So, it might be that you're doing a course on how to make sushi. So, you might do a series of cookery videos. Now, the other thing you need to think about before you even start filming is to actually get some professional filming done.

I mean, you can be doing video on your iPhone camera or on your Blackberry. But sometimes, it makes a difference to get some professional production, means you got better quality lighting, the quality of the picture looks better, so that you actually look better and more attractive in the video. You have decent lighting and decent editing.

So, these all contribute to the quality of the video. Make sure that when you edit the video and you produce it, that you're actually saying something that's relevant to what's in the video. So if you're doing a video about how to make sushi, your description should actually talk a little bit more detail about what it is that you're doing because those keywords will help to attract people searching for what your video's about.

And then, the important thing is to have regular content. So, if you were doing series on sushi, right, why not have a series of videos that you put on and make sure that each of those videos, not only is it produced properly, but also there may be other opportunities to actually have yourself filmed? So if you want to be big, don't just have a series of videos made about you. But if you are talking publicly, if you give public lectures, why not get somebody to film you? If necessary, you can even give somebody in the audience your iPhone camera or your Blackberry camera and get him to film you.

But the more opportunities there are to have you filmed, the more opportunities you have yourself exposed to the public. And so, every opportunity you can find, get yourself filmed and yourself published on YouTube, and then share those videos and make sure that there are lots and lots of what's called sticky content. Sticky content means content that will get people coming back for more.
