How To Get Flawless Natural Looking Skin

Make-up artist Phillipa Louise teaches how to achieve a flawless and natural skin by using Rimmel London products. Learn her tricks and suggestions and achieve the perfect face.

I am going to be using Rimmel London products to talk about how to get flawless natural looking skin. It's really important to start off by prepping your skin really, really well. How this is going to help is it's going to help the foundation to sit really, really smoothly and evenly on the skin.

So, what you want to start off by doing is make sure you exfoliate your skin well, and you want to cleanse it with a very gentle cleanser and then moisturize it. Choose a moisturizer that is perfect for your skin: if you have dry skin, use an intense moisturizer. If you have very oily skin, make sure you use a moisturizer without oil in it.

Once that's all prepped, you'll then maybe want to choose a primer. Some people are very concerned about open pores around this T-Zone area. Just smooth the primer over the areas that you are concerned about, and that will literally give you a very beautiful even face to then apply your foundation.

So we've already prepped your skin, already. So I'm just going to put that foundation on. You'll find it really does just sit and it glides over the face so beautifully.

What's really important is once you've moisturized your face, leave it for about ten minutes before you put any foundation on because your skin needs to really take in that moisturizer and work into the skin. If you literally apply the foundation straight away, you'll just going to be moving the moisturizer around the face and it's not actually going to be nurturing your skin at all. Don't forget those ears! And again, in achieving this flawless face, it's about applying little product at a time and it's all about the blending.

You don't want to be able to see any make up on the skin, you're really just evening out your skin complexion, enhancing the natural beauty. Taking the foundation up to the eyelids, again, I've chosen to do just to do get rid of any veins that may be showing, and again to even out the texture of the eye, because it's always a little bit redder. Really important to buff that foundation into the skin, just some circle motions.

So, once you you've got your foundation base on, you want to move on to the eye area. If you're concerned about any dark circles under the eyes - everyone has that purple-y shadow underneath here. This is our Match Perfection Concealer.

It is a highlighter and a concealer in one, so it does double the job really quickly. And again, apply it with a brush. The reason why you're applying with a brush is sometimes, you can get bacteria on your hands and you don't put anything near your eyes.

So, just get any type of concealer brush and pat it along that area. Make sure you go right up to that lash line because that is the area where people are always slightly more purple. And again, build this makeup, really lightly.

Because it has a highlighter in there as well, it's great for the corners of the eyes. The corners of the eyes can sometimes become quite dark, so if you close your eyes for me, that's the corners of the eyes I'm talking about, it will just brighten up your eye area, we'll just even that out over on the other side. Really, it's such a great product because it's so light, so it's not going to sit in the lines.

A lot of people get worried about concealer sitting in the lines. It just glides over and it sits where it needs to sit, and it highlights what it needs to highlight. So once you've got the concealer on and you've got your foundation on, if there are any other blemishes on the skin that you're concerned about, choose any type of concealer that Rimmell do, that will be absolutely fine.

Don't use a product that has got a highlighter on, because then, what you're going to be doing is you are actually going to be highlighting that area. So just use a normal concealer. So just before we finish that flawless face, I'll just run for you the products that we used.

We used the Match Protection cream gel. That was used in natural beige. What
