In this video, I'm going to show you how to download some free apps for your iPod touch. You can download them directly to the iPod touch. What we have to do is go to the app store icon on your iPod, select the categories tab on the bottom, select the category of app that you are interested in, and there may be some further categories underneath. Then, you get some tabs at the top where you have the top rated paid apps, free apps, and the newest apps as well. So, if you just tap top free, you'll be able to see a list of the top free apps in that category. Just select the one that you're interested in. You can see a description of the app as you scroll down and some screen shots. Tap the free button, and then tap install, and it will ask you to sign into your Apple ID. It will then show the new app icon on the home screen and it will say loading as it's downloading. Once it is ready to install, it will place the name of the app there. When it is finished downloading, and the name of the app will appear and the progress bar would have gone underneath it, then you can launch the app by just tapping it. Alternatively, if you don't wish to browse the apps, you can search one particularly. You go to the app store, you can use the search tab, and you can tap a search into the search box. You'll see a list of returned results, and they'll have the price next to them, or free if it's a free app. You can click on the app and you'll be back to the same screen in which you downloaded earlier.
