Here are two exercises to help you get Mel B abs. The important thing to remember is that you have to start with your diet to slim down and these will do you good.
I'm going to talk to you about how to get Mel B abs. Now, Mel B, in the last couple of years, has changed her body quite a lot. She's done a bit more of like, a body builder style routine to get a very defined, quite muscular but also kind of very athletic looking.
I'm going to show you two exercises right now to help you get more definition in your abs if you have low body fat. It's good to remember though, if you're already fat, these aren't going to make any difference. You have to look after your diet first, get a bit slimmer, before abdominal exercises will actually look any different.
Firstly, on a parallel bit machine, just going to hang by my forearms, making sure my neck isn't squashed. So, I've got nice good form. Knees up and knees down.
The main thing to remember when doing these, they're called basket hangs, is not do them too quickly. See, a lot of people are doing this. It doesn't do anything.
It's momentum. Do it slowly, controlled. Up and down.
Okay. Now, that works these parts, your abs, particularly your lower abs. You want to work your sides as well, your obliques, which is actually really important.
You need to add some sort of twisting element to it. A little bit harder. Let me show you.
I'm going to lock up my arms, twist, and down. Twist and down. Takes much more control, more strain on my abdominal muscles and my obliques.
There are two exercises, going up and down and also twisting side to side. Both are fantastic exercises to get you closer to having Mel B abs. .
