You can use a lot of products which are at home to clean many stubborn stains like on the carpets or maybe on the sofas as well. Have a look at this video.
If you've spilled paint onto your carpet, there is a good way of removing it. If it is a water-based paint like emulsion and this one here which is eggshell, then it's really not a problem. If it's something like gloss and it's gone hard, what you need to do is to scrape the top off with a small blade like a Stanley knife to cut the top off and then you would need to use a paint remover to take off the rest by using a little paint brush, like an artist brush and paint it on the stain and then dab it off with a soft cloth but for today's purpose, I'm going to show you how to remove a water-based paint from your carpet.
So first of all, what we need to do is to take a clean cloth and we're going to put some distilled white vinegar onto the cloth. What we're going to do is we're going to dab the stain because what you don't want to do is rub because what you'll do is untwist the pile. Carpets are made with the piles are twisted two strings together.
If you start rubbing, you untwist and you'll get fluffy patches. So dab is the secret. So here we go.
Just going to dab now, dab gently, there's no need to press to hard. As you can see, the paint is transferring quite happily onto the cloth, away from the carpet. So keep repeating that process until the paint has all been removed, depending on the depth of the paint that you've spilled and the size of the stain will depend on how long it will actually take you.
But the secret is to not to rub. You can see lots of paint coming off there onto the vinegar solution. And there you go.
As you can see, it's getting lighter and lighter. The paint is transferring. You just keep going at it until it all disappears.
So when you get to the point where there's hardly any paint left on the carpet, you can just take some warm soapy water and a sponge and wash it out that way. That's how to get paint out of your carpet. You can use a lot of products which are at home to clean many stubborn stains like on the carpets or maybe on the sofas as well.
