How To Get Pokerus

In this video, I'm going to show you how to get Pokerus. Now, what is Pokerus? Now, the bad news is, it's actually a virus for Pokemon. The good news is it's not actually harmful and it's actually very helpful to Pokemon.

Now, when your Pokemon has Pokerus, on its status screen, you will actually see a symbol above here. Or it could be down here, depending on your games version. It will actually indicate that it's got Pokerus.

Once it's cured of Pokerus, this symbol will actually change to a small little happy face. Now, the way to get Pokerus is actually a bit random. Unfortunately, you can't just pick it up.

Well, actually, you can. See, any interaction you make to any Pokemon, could potentially transfer the Pokerus to your Pokemon. And every capture you make could also capture a Pokemon containing Pokerus.

The only way to find out about the virus and if your Pokemon has it is by visiting a Pokemon centre and heal it. As you go to heal, if your Pokemon is infected with a virus, the nurse behind the desk will actually inform you with a statement. So, what does Pokerus actually do? Well, it's a very helpful thing.

As you are actually practising Pokemon and you knock them out, you get effort values, which can be helped to increase your stats as your Pokemon levels go up. What Pokerus does is actually double up the number of effort values as you knock out another Pokemon. It's a very helpful thing to have, but it's also a very random thing to get.

And the Pokerus will show itself after 24 hours. So, in summary, Pokerus is a very helpful virus. You catch it fairly randomly while interacting with all the wild Pokemon or by capturing a little, the wild Pokemon.
