How To Get Ready For Your Newborn
Learn How To Get Ready For Your Newborn: This Videojug film explains the importance of being ready for your newborn baby, and how to prepare your house for the long nights ahead.
Step 1: Small Outfits
So you've just got three weeks to go then?
Just wondering if we've got everything ready. Just get a couple of small size outfits, and if you get any presents just keep them. Don't take the tags off them just yet. Just keep them, because you can always take them back, but before you use them just give them a wash in non-biological washing powder, and a fabric conditioner that's sensitive to skin, so a hypo-allergenic one's a really good idea; and the same kind of thing with the bedding.
Step 2: Nursery
We've got the nursery ready, but I don't know when we start using the nursery. It's personal choice, but it is recommended that the baby does spend the first six months in the bedroom with you. Sleeping in the same bed as you is a bit controversial at the moment. There's some research that it's not such a good idea and things. Have it just next to you. If you are going to breast feed you can just pick the baby up, and you can feed it straight away, and put it back, and not disturb your sleep too much as well.
