How To Get Rid Of A Beer Belly
A fitness expert explores how to use diet and exercise to reduce fat around the stomach. These tips will get you started to losing that beer belly.
In this video, I'm going to talk to you about how to get rid of a beer belly. First of all, you've got to stop drinking beer. I mean, nutrition and alcohol are huge kind of factors in reducing body fat.
All alcohol is bad. Yes, there are some antioxidants you can get, but you can get these from fruit. You don't need to drink beer to be healthy, or alcohol, so reduce alcohol consumption, also reduce your kind of like soft drinks and high sugar drinks, including juices which are really high in calories, and get rid of processed foods.
If you have ¾ of your diet based on actually, real food, not stuff you have to microwave, then you can't really go far wrong. Next, once you get your nutrition sorted, you can start thinking about exercise. Now, you don't need to be in a gym to actually lose weight.
You can just do stuff just using your body, which I'm going to show you now, which means, no excuse, you can do it at home. You could do it in an office but people might look at you funnily. But if you do at home, you can do it in your garage, in your garden, anywhere you want to.
First form I'm going to show you is the press up squat thrust, this works the entire body. Press ups, they work your chest and your arms and your shoulders and your abs and core. Squat thrusts work your glutes, your legs, your hamstrings, like a whole body workout.
And also, you get your heart rate up so it's fat burning as well as toning, which is really good. Starting out flat and I'm just going to jump in and out as many times as I can, now, if you're really out of shape, that might be too difficult. So, rather than not doing it, you adapt it, make it a little bit easier.
What you could do is a smaller range of movement, so a little press up and a little jump. If you can walk, you can probably do that exercise. It's not that difficult.
And the ideas is, as the days go on, you build up to a bit more extreme, do more reps, have a bigger range of movement. Always challenge your body to make it harder and harder. So, to recap, eat, eating's really important, eat good quality food.
Reduce alcohol, reduce processed food, and train every day. There are hundreds and hundreds of exercises you can do. You can sort of search on Videojug.
I'd go for ones which burn calories as well as tone muscle such as the press up squat thrust, you just say there. And those are my types on how to lose the belly.
