Acne are infections deep within our skins that we don't want to actually have so watch this video to learn how to treat and get rid of them to be able to have a really nice skin.
But there are also natural ways on how to treat cystic acne which I'm going to demonstrate a little bit. Now, what you have to do is don't wash your face with actually very harsh soap or any harsh liquids, that's very important. What you don't want to do is actually dry out the epidermis of your skin because that causes more follicular plugging and it's really not a good idea.
So, use a very gentle wash and what I normally recommend is an aloe vera-based wash which is very, very gentle. And now, what you'll do with that is just take it out. Make sure to wash your hands always before you take out any product out of the jar and never put your fingers into a cream jar because our fingers are infected with bacteria, we all have bacteria in our hands and you will actually cause bacteria growth in the cream so not a good idea.
Try and take a cotton bud to extract the cream out of the jar. Then you apply a little bit on your skin with a little bit of water. Now, what I'll recommend is actually a face brush, and the face brush is quite important because it mildly exfoliates the skin without being actually too harsh.
Now, what you'll do is just put the brush under warm water, you have to wash onto your skin and your brush actually wash into your skin very gently in circular motions. Make sure to wash the brush after usage with warm water and soap, that's very important, and then you rinse of the wash. It's very important to tone the skin as well with a gentle toner.
Again, don't use an alcohol containing products. What I actually advocate is a yarrow-based toner. Yarrow is an antiseptic herb; it's a water-based.
You shake the bottle and give it a few sprays onto your skin and very gently pat it into your skin. Then you use an acne cream. I use, personally for my patients, what you do is, again, you take the cream jar, don't use your fingers, use a little cotton bud just to extract the cream out of the jar and use a tiny amount only where you have the acne spots.
Leave it for a little while, just for a minute or so, and then try and moisturize your skin. It's very important to do that but not with a fat-based, it needs to be a water-based. So you can go to your pharmacist and talk to them, say, do you have extra cream with just no fat, a nice water-based? I personally use a combination of tea tree and aloe vera cream.
Sometimes, we use liquorice extract as well. Again, use a cotton bud to extract the cream out of the jar. Apply it all over your face, not too much, just a little bit to hydrate the skin, that's very important.
The other thing which is important, at least once a week, use a face scrap. I use personally a kiwi-based face scrap which is quite important. Again, you use a little, tiny bit out of the jar.
You apply it onto your skin and you scrap it, you can use the brush or you can use your hands actually just to sort of gently brush the extract into your skin, exfoliate your skin very gently and then make sure again, to hydrate your skin with a toner and with a water-based. .
