How To Get Rid Of Frown Lines
How to Get Rid of Frown Lines: Today's Video Jug film features advice on how to get rid of frown lines. She describes two options to do this, by using botox or a filler. She describes the benefits of each, and also explains how to use one or both procedures to completely get rid of frown lines.
I am here today to talk to you about how to get rid of frown lines.
They form because of aging of the skin. You can also be genetically predisposed to them. They form because when you use these muscles here, then that causes the overlying skin to crease, and if the skin is loose because of sun damage or aging, they are more likely to crease and therefore you get the frown lines.
So the aim with everything in medicine is to treat the underlying cause which is the muscle causing the creasing and the skin overlying which is loose. So you obviously need to use sun protection factor to reduce the effects of aging because that will loosen the skin and to use a vitamin A based cream such as Retin-A. This will help cause collagen regeneration and thicken up the skin and reduce very fine frown lines and the likelihood of them getting worse as well.
The main way to get rid of frown lines completely is unfortunately to use Botox for frown lines. Now, it is a very safe treatment that lasts between four to six months depending on the severity of your frown lines. How that works is it basically blocks the nerve transmission between the nerve ending and the muscle, so you do not get that muscle contraction.
It only blocks, it is dose dependent, so if you put lots in, you are going to get complete blockage of that muscle. If you put a little in, then you can still get some movement there and still manage to relax the muscle enough so that there is some reduction in the frown lines. The other way to get rid of frown lines is to use a filler.
Usually if you think you have very heavy frown lines, you can check if botox is going to completely get rid of them by using the stretch test. Stretch your skin like that and if you can still see a line, then that is the best result you are going to get and you might not completely get rid of the frown lines with botox. Therefore, using the filler, it acts as a poly-filler, there is no better way to describe it really.
It basically fills in cracks and gives you a completely smooth forehead. You will still be able to frown because you have not lost the ability to move your muscles in that area. You can have botox treatment first and then use a filler on top of it if you wish to or you can have either or depending on your preference.
I would recommend that you speak to a specialist who is experienced in this before you go ahead and have these treatments. So thank you very much for listening to me and I hope this has helped.
