I am here to talk to you about how to get rid of redness in the face. It's quite a broad topic, there's lots of different causes for redness in the face.

So I will very briefly go through each one. The first one is allergic dermatitis or eczema or irritation and anything else for your irritating face. So the main thing is to reduce that irritation either naturally by using our beer-based moisturiser and also by reducing the things that cause the irritation.

So dryness of the skin for example. We got eczema, the moisturiser will act as a barrier to prevent the allergens that are causing your irritating skin to enter into the skin surface. The other known cause is something called rosacea, we don't really know what causes it.

But we know that it is caused by over active blood vessels. So there are blood vessels very very near the surface of the skin that tend to overdilate. The things that make it worse are alcohol and spicy foods and hot environments.

So you can actually temporarily make the redness reduced by using a green-tinged base, color correcting base underneath your makeup. So that works very well as a temporary measure. There are also certain treatments for it, if you are not sure that you got rosacea, you can go to your GP and they will be able to confirm it.

There are various creams that help reduce the redness such as metronidazole cream which are chiefly chemist prescribed. Also, system it to very good acylic acid cream which you can buy and that reduces the redness and the red spots also which tend to occur mainly on the cheeks, forehead and the chin area. It can look very similar to acne, the difference being that it tends not to be so many painful spots or pustules in rosacea.

And you can get grittiness in the eyes and various other symptoms as well with rosacea. You can also get something called parallel dermatitis which is redness around the mouth area and that's caused by actually too much use of steroids. Tends to be itchy and what people tend to do to them actually make it worse.

And the treatment for that is actually antibiotics. We had been prescribing steroids and it is making that worse. You need to go to GP and confirm that diagnosis.

You can also use facial therapy to reduce obvious blood vessels in the cheek area. I hope this helps in helping you reduce the redness in face and thank you very much for watching.
