How To Get Taylor Lautner Abs
In this video, Dan shows us two highly effective abdominal workouts you can use to get the exact same abs as Twilight's Taylor Lautner.
In this video, I'm going to talk to you about how to get Taylor Lautner abs. He's got a very impressive body. He's actually a qualified personal trainer, so he knows what he's doing.
Now, to get a body like that, you need to have low body fat. If you're a man, round about 12% body fat, you'll start seeing a six-pack. In the Twilight films, Taylor had around about 6 to 9 percent body fat.
So to get that, you need to be eating very cleanly. Having very healthy food, not too much fat, not too much carbs. Also, you need be doing an overall strength training program.
Not just sit-ups, a whole range of compound lifting: squats, dead lifts, pull ups. That will give you the overall body shape. In this particular video, we're going to talk about the abdominal region to get a defined, muscular abdominal section.
I'm going to show you two very advanced exercises which will help you get that definition. The first exercise I'm going to show you is called a twisting basket hang. Over here, on the parallel bars, lifting your body up, knees up to the side, and down, and again, up to the side, and down.
Now if you're strong, you can actually add some weight, maybe put a dumbbell in between your feet. For me, with most people, doing it this way is hard enough. I'm keeping my upper body as still as I can.
I'm trying to make all the movement through with my legs and what this does is it gives you more definition in the lower part of the abs, more so on the lines here, and the lower part of your six-pack. The next abdominal exercise I'm going to show you is called a weighted sit and reach. You hold the weight, we keep our feet underneath, some dumbbells or you can use a sofa or a chair so you keep stable in the air.
You go down, touch the floor and you sit up, keeping the weight as high as you can. This is a far superior exercise to a normal sit-up. And also, it's good to remember that it's important to have a weight, otherwise it's too easy.
With sit-ups, to tend to do thirty, forty in a row, it's not going to give you any definition. It's not going to make any difference. Having a weight in place will make it harder, more difficult, and your body will adapt and grow six pack muscles.
