I'm using Rimmel London products to show you how to wear that bold or bright lip. It's really important when choosing to wear lipstick to only concentrate on one area of the face, it's really trendy at the moment to have those blocky beautiful colors, so if you're choosing to wear lipstick, you want to make sure that the eye is really toned down. We'll probably put a bit of mascara at the end and then just a nice flush or blusher going through the cheeks.
To begin with, make sure you prime your lips really well so I'm just using the Stay Matte foundation, just brush that all over the lips, and what this is going to do is it's going to create a really nice base for that lipstick to go on and for the lipstick to cling to as well. We've chosen to use the Tantrum lipstick today, so we've chosen a lovely lip liner to go with that. Really important to line your lips first, just to get that really beautiful shape in there.
I'm going to start with the cupid's bow, so if you just relax your lips for me, you've got your starting point there, and then all you're going to do is carry on and with light feathery frictions, just fill the lips in and this is the fun part where you get to fill it in. Now, the reason why I choose to fill it in with a lip liner, it's really just to help your lipstick to stay on for a little bit longer, and also to really intensify the lip color that we're going to be putting on. Okay, so we've got a rough outline of the lips, we're going to fill it in now with our Tantrum lip color.
Very important to use a lip brush when applying lipstick, I know it shapes, it shapes really well to apply straight to your lips but you really want to get an even distribution on to the lips and you can get a really precise point as well if you're using a lip brush. And you can fill. Fill that all in, using that brush, if you're using lipstick right now, you would not be able to get all the way down here to the point, you can get a lovely basic shape but it's just easy for you.
So, just finishing this lip off nicely, you've cleared away any mistakes underneath, don't forget as well the reason that we use the lip liner, if you're concerned about any bleeding of the lips, in terms of the lipstick bleeding into the skin, what the lip liner's going to do is really going to help prevent that from happening. What's great about this lipstick as well is it's part of the lasting finish range so it's going to last for about 8 hours which means that you don't need to keep reapplying and also by putting on the lip liner as well, it's going to help intensify and help it last a little bit longer. If you don't want that glossy finish at the end, you can actually bring a tissue on the lips and blot it and then dust it with really light layer of translucent powder over that it's just going to matte that lip totally, that will also help to seal it a little bit more as well, but it completely depends on what sort of look you're going for, for the night.
A really good tip for applying your lipstick is to make sure you exfoliate before you put on and that would just enable the lipstick to glide over the lips really smoothly. And there we have how to wear a strong and bright lipstick. .
