How To Get The Perfect Lip Pout

In this video, I'm going to show you how to get the perfect lip pout. In order to do this, you'll need a few different tools of the trade: a lip brush, a lip pencil, a lip gloss and a lipstick color of your choice. I'm going to use a pink lipstick to match my lip pencil.

So, the first thing we're going to do is line the lips with the lip pencil. Make sure that your pencil is freshly sharpened because this will give a better result and better shape to the lips. So, come on to the lips and just draw an outline to the lips taking care to ensure you've got the perfect Cupid's bow.

It might help sometimes to stretch the skin or even get your client to stretch her bottom lip like that and then you can draw a much more even line. Okay and relax your lips. This part does not have to be too perfect at this stage because we can always come on after we've applied the lipstick and put some more lip pencil on to even everything up.

The next thing we do is load our brush with our chosen lip color, in this case, it's pink, and we apply the color all over the lips and this is going on top of the lip pencil that we've already applied. Remember, if you make any mistakes at this stage, you can always correct them. Okay, now what we're going to do is we're going to go back to our lip pencil and we're just going to refine by drawing in our Cupid's bow and at the bottom of our lip in the middle.

You don't need to take it right into the corners. Just open your mouth slightly, just slightly going over the edge there. Just going to use our pencil to blend it in and close your mouth.

Now to get that perfect pout, to really make the lips pop, what we're going to do is apply a bit of clear gloss to the bottom lip in the center. You don't need too much on the brush for this but that will just give a shine and makes the lips look plumper. So, this is ideal for someone that hasn't got such a full bottom lip, so it would really create that glistening at the bottom and that sort of pouty lips look.

And you can apply just a bit in the Cupid's bow there. You don't want to put this all over the lips but we're trying to enhance the lips and make them look fuller and more pouty. And that's how you apply lipstick to get that perfect pout. .
