How To Get Your Car Clean
Marshall Benjamin presents another great film on VideoJug, bringing you tips from Britain's top car washer, showing you how best to get your car clean.
Step 1:
Dirty cars, a sight that’s all too common throughout the country. But one man is doing his best to make this a thing of the past. Mark Lesley and his team from Glasgow City Car Wash have been crowned the Car Wash Kings 2007. It follows a Nationwide search by Ebay Motors.co.uk. The criteria were price, friendliness of staff, body sheen and window gleam.
Step 2:
Now I’m here with the winner Mark, ‘Mark, first of all , how does it feel?’ Mark: ‘Absolutely brilliant, brilliant. You see we put a lot of hard work into this, and this is the reward we get for it. And the boys are happy. And Myself as well. So We’re totally delighted.
Step 3:
Now what separates you guys from the rest? Mark: We listen to the customers when they come in and when they leave, we make sure they’re happy. We do any complaints and things to make sure the car’s getting treated right. It gets checked and everything before they leave the premises. And any complaints, anything at all we make sure we deal with them.
Step 4:
Now the ebay research shows that three quarters of us expect the price of a car to be knocked down if it was dirty, does this surprise you? Mark: Not at all. I’ve been working within the trade for a long time and most of the trades, if it’s a bad car with bad things in it or on it you’ll hide it, and basically with hiding it you’ve got a dirty car. A nice clean car you’ll show the car a lot better, good first impressions. And also you’ll get less people can haggle you with your price and things.
Step 5:
Now Mark, thank you very much indeed. So that’s the word from the King. Now it’s time for one of his subjects to show us some top tips on how to get that good as new clean
Step 6: Cleaning Your Car
1.Before you start washing your car, if you can make sure you park it in the shade and out of direct sunlight this will reduce smearing.
Step 7: Cleaning Your Car
2.Once the outside of the windows are washed if you use a bit of window cleaner and scrunch that in newspaper to give them a sparkle on the inside, it works a treat.
Step 8: Cleaning Your Car
3.Don’t forget to Hoover the interior of the car especially the mats. If there are any stubborn stains like mud that won’t come out with the Hoover they can always be shampooed and dried which makes a huge difference to the interior of the car.
Step 9:
So now you know how to really buff up your beemer and shine your chevet and with Brits spending 2.2billion pounds on car cleaning services and accessories this year alone it would seem that King Mark and his friends are going to be kept busy for the foreseeable future.
