Hello. I'm here to tell you about Shiatsu massage. Shiatsu massage is a Japanese form of massage technique using finger pressures and kneading into different parts of the body.
The idea or the concept behind Shiatsu massage is that the body is a field of energy or what the Japanese like to call a Chi and through the manipulation of specific areas of the body, using finger pressure techniques, we're actually able to move the chi, move the energy so that the body feels more balanced and in harmony. What I'm going to do now is show you a few techniques to my client's feet which seem the easiest route to take today. These are some simple techniques that you can actually do at home.
You can do them on your partner, on your friends, on your family. The easiest thing to do is have your client sitting in a comfortable chair with a back. If they are cold, make sure they are wrapped up with a nice warm blanket and then if you sit on a stool, which is a little bit lower than the chair, you'll actually have access to the feet at a much better height.
So some of the things that you can actually do are we call it thumb walking, and we actually just release pressure by walking left to right through the sole of the foot. So going deep into the sole of the foot, releasing pressure to that area, left to right, all the way down. All the way down.
The thing there is to be able to do this a number of times so that you really push in and you really release the tension at a much more deeper level than you would if you were simply massaging oil into the skin. So all the way down. Don't cheat them.
They'll know if you've missed any surface area or out. Another thing that you can do as Shiatsu technique is to actually rock the foot, which also releases tension in the heel of the foot but also in the lower calf. It realigns everything.
What you do there is take both your palms and simply rock the foot. So just take it in each direction and rock the foot so you get a nice twist and you release all the tension.
