How To Give Yourself A Pedicure

Pampering yourself with a pedicure can be costly… but not if you do it yourself! Save your money for new shoes! Learn the tricks of the trade and get some sexy feet at home!

Step 1: You will need

  • Toenail trimmers
  • Emery board
  • Epsom salt
  • Orangewood sticks
  • Foot file
  • Foot lotion
  • Toe-separator
  • Nail polish remover
  • Base coat polish
  • Colored Polish

Step 2: Trim

Avoid ingrown toenails by trimming straight across with a toenail clipper.
File the edges.

Step 3: Soak

Soak your feet in warm water and Epsom salts for 5-10 minutes.
While your feet are still wet, gently push back the cuticles with the flat edge of an orangewood stick.
Smooth the edges and bottoms of your dampened feet with a foot file.

Step 4: Moisturize

Dry your feet. Massage each foot with a foot lotion.

Step 5: Paint

Wipe your nail beds with polish remover to remove any oils.
Wearing toe-separators, apply a thin layer of base coat. Let it dry completely.
Apply one to two coats of nail polish.
Finish with a thin layer of top coat.
