How To Go Wireless
Going wireless means accessing the internet without any wires or cables. If you are looking for information on how to set up the wireless connection on your PC or laptop or wireless enabled device, this video will help you do just that.
If you want to enjoy your laptop without the wires anywhere in house, you might consider getting a wireless connection in your house. Assumingly, we already have a wireless connection installed in our house and the laptop with wireless capabilities. This is a typical Windows 7 interface and where the clock is on the panel, we can see a little icon which is for the wireless network.
And the moment it shows as Not Connected - Connections are available, we click once and we see a list of networks. We want to find our network which is BTHomeHub2-f9jx. This name of the network will be written on the back of the router.
To connect, we click once on it. We click on Connect, and this will ask us for the wireless password. This password is used to protect your network from unauthorized access from outside.
The security key would be written, again, on the back of your router. As we've entered the key, we press on OK, and this shall connect us to the network. If we click again onto this little icon, we will be able to see where we're currently connected to - BTHomeHub2-f9jx, our home network.
And here, you can see internet access which means we are connected, and at the bottom, it'll say we're connected as well, and the strength of the signal of the network! If, however, your signal is not strong enough, then you might consider moving your router somewhere closer or getting a wire signal booster. Here, in this film, we have explained to you how to go wireless on either your laptop, desktop computer or any other wireless capable device. .
