I'm going to give you some tips for medium-length hair. When your hair is medium length, it's usually around armpit-length or collar-length. What you want to really do, depending on how much hair you have, you want to put some layering in the hair.

Because we have a lot of hair, we put long layers in. When the hair is all one length, you have a triangle effect where it is flat on top and full at the bottom, and that's not necessarily that flattering. The long layers at the end just makes the ends tapered and will just frame the face a lot better.

When you're styling it, you can actually put a lot more body into it with medium length because you have taken all the weight out, and the layers give it a little bit more movement. It's a lot more flattering look on your hair. As you're styling it, I would use different methods.

You can use a round brush and really get lots of volume in that way. You could tip your head upside down and blast-dry it, so it's more of a looser, freer look. You can use rollers, which is what we did today, and you get more of a glamorous effect.

You get nice natural body and movement through the top. As it's sitting in this, the layers have made the hairstyle a little bit narrower, and you've lost that triangle effect through there. Also, with medium-length hair, it's quite nice to put in bangs or a fringe.

What we've done today is an asymmetrical fringe, just to give it a bit of an off-balance to that look. If you want to create a bit more texture on the ends, I would use a pomade. I'm using a dry pomade.

It's basically like a really thick moisturizer for your hair, so it stops it from going fluffy. Make sure you put it on your hands first, so you shouldn't see any product left. We're just going to take that through, just to seal the ends.

What it does, as well, it actually makes you see the layers more when you put a styling product on the ends. That's how you style medium-length hair. |Petar Dragicevic shows every woman how to style medium length hair.
