In this video, I'm going to show you how to shuffle hardstyle. Now, hardstyle shuffling is also known as the 'Melbourne shuffle' or old school, even more, known as the 'running man'. Now, to hardstyle shuffle, we need to know how to do the normal shuffle first.
So, we are going to break down in two steps. The first step is a hop, so we'll start with our right leg in the air. The second step involves two things, placing that right foot down, at the same time, gliding back with your left.
So, to put it together, it will be a hop and a slide. To continue with the shuffle, you need to hop again, so you go back to step one, but bringing your leg right underneath yourself, so you come in back to the centre and same again on the other sides, we place our left down, slide the right back and keep repeating. So, this is the shuffle.
I'll show you from the side, my feet meet in middle each time. So, hop, separate and then come back to the centre and do the same, and when you speed it up, it's like you are running on the spot. So, that's the shuffle.
Hardstyle shuffling, there are tens of different moves and I'm going to show you three today. The first is how to hardstyle shuffle with a glide. So, we're going to do two new more shuffles.
This is one, this is two, we're going to start the third but this time we're going to make it even bigger. So, we're going to glide. So, we're going to stamp our right foot slightly front forward and at the same time spread your left leg as straight as you can behind your hips to the corner.
So, at the same time, as wide as you can, then you're going to glide the right foot into the left and then you can repeat. So, it will be one, two, and big glide, glide in and keep going. The second hardstyle shuffle I'm going to show you is a side shuffle with a stand.
Now, all you do is keep your balance on one leg and you move into one side with your heel and your toe. So, swap in to the angle of your foot as you go to the side. The other foot that you are not using is going to be stamped in to the side.
There are different versions of this , you can make t-shapes with your feet, you can stamp it front or we are going to do to the side today. So, everyone, you push your heel in, you're going to be stamping the other foot. So, as my heel comes in, I stamp, as it goes out to the left.
Out on stamp, up on left, exception to the side. And the third hardstyle shuffle is pretty much exactly the same as we stand to the side but this time, it will be kick. So, rather than stamping down to the side each heel, you're going to be kicking to the side.
You can have some small arms, if you want as well. So, each heel takes a bit of balance. You will be kicking out to the side each way and you can do this on each side.
So, I'm now going to demonstrate the shuffle into the hardstyle shuffle of the glide and the two side shuffles. So, this is a normal shuffle, then you can add it into the glide and then the side way shuffle, go to the side and then, same again with the kick, and you can add them all together, if you wanted, in any combination you want. And that's how to shuffle hardstyle.
