How To Harvest Lettuce

Lettuces should be harvested when they have reached their maximum size, this occurs 60-70 days after sowing. All types are harvested the same way, by cutting at the bottom of the leaf with a sharp knife. Either remove the leaves you want for the day, or sever the whole head at the base to remove an entire lettuce

Whenever possible, harvest vegetables during the cool part of the morning, and process or store them as soon as you can
