How To Hide Cigarette Burns On The Carpet

We at Videojug have compiled the challenges of a major party clean up. In this video we give you top tips on how to hide cigarette burns on the carpet. Videojug: Fighting for your right to party.

Step 1: You will need

  • Hoover
  • Bin bag
  • Carpet Brush
  • Craft knife or sharp scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Super glue

Step 2: Clean up

Remove the cigarette and Hoover the affected area to get rid any remaining ash

When the carpet is dry use the carpet brush on it again to lift the fibres.

If you have any spare carpet carefully remove enough fibres to cover the effected area. If not trim some fibres from an area at the edge of the carpet again ensuring you have enough to cover the burn.

Using a craft knife cut out the burned carpet fibres end remove them

Using a pair of tweezers dip each new fibre in super-glue and position them over the burn area until it's completely covered. The area will still be slightly visible at first but of done correctly it will blend perfectly into the carpet with a few days wear.
