How To Hit The Pads

We've teamed up with England qualified boxing coach, Michael Gregory to show you how to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. In this film Michael shows you how to hit the pads.

When hitting the pads, you should, as always, start with a good stance and guard. Start off with some simple lead hand jabs as a range finder. Follow this with a hook, then a rear hand upper cut, a lead hand uppercut, and a one two combination.

When working the pads you are basically looking to get as big a variety of shots in as possible. Work at body height, and head height. The pads are great for improving your hand speed, learning to move around, and generally provides you with a feel good factor.
