All you need is a PC, Quicktime 7 Pro – which you can download from the internet - and the latest version of iTunes, which can also be downloaded if you don't have it.

Step 1: Open Quicktime Pro 7

Double click the Quicktime Pro 7 icon on your desktop.

Step 2: Convert File

Drag the cursor up to QuickTime 7 Pro File menu and scroll down to select export. A dialog box will appear.

Under “export method”, choose “movie to iPod” from the pop-up menu.

Click the save button, and your converted file will appear on the desktop

Hi, dear friend, if we want to put video to ipod, we must ensure that the video format is compatible with ipod. In most cases we need an ipod video converter to help us to convert the video format firstly and then we can put it to ipod easily. Here I'd like to share you a software I have being using which is bundled by DVD to iPod Ripper and Video to iPod Converter. It can convert DVD or any videos to iPod supported video formats and resolution. More information if you want to know, you can visit the following site for you: http://www.dvdtoipodreviews.com/ipod-video-converter.html As to how to put video or dvd to ipod, we can refer to the following site which can teach us how to do it step by step and I bet we can do it very well. http://www.dvdtoipodreviews.com/how-to/transfer-dvd-to-an-ipod.html I sincerely hope you can get what you want .Best wishes for you.

I believe it has to be quicktime seven pro in this case for quicktime 7 does not have an export button. quicktime 7 pro is a $29.95 download from apple. Or I believe Nero would be a great alternative.
