IF THEY KNEW ANYTHING USEFUL ABOUT HORSES THEY WOULD NOTICE THAT THE HORSE ISN'T ROUNDING IT'S BACK BECAUSE OF THE UNNATURAL RIDER'S POSITION. THIS KIND OF RIDING HURTS HORSE'S BACK. THE TOPLINES OF THESE HORSES ARE VERY POOR. BASICALLY SHE IS DESCRIBIG A GOOD STIFF POSITION THAT GIVES YOU A LOT OF PAIN IN YOUR BACK, LEGS, ARMS AND SEAT UNTIL YOU GET USED TO IT. RIDING SHOULDN'T BE PAINFULL!!!

Oh dear, it really is rubbish isn't it? The three point seat alone is going to make you bounce like you're on a space hopper. The 'fixed' bits still have loads to correct. It's not what I would call a correct classical position.

All very well and good if you have schoolmaster! Retraining an ex pacer - will not have a leg on his side. I wish I could adopt a more classical seat but needs must. My instructor had a ride "I wouldn't let anyone else from this yard on this horse!" LOl I will try some of the tecniques given though - good vid!
