How To Install Firefox

The GoogleGum tutorial shows how to download and install Mozilla Firefox, a web browser like Microsoft Internet Explorer onto your computer. It shows how to get the setup file, and then how to install the program. Why should I do this you say, well, Firefox is a much safer, faster, and more customizable browser.

Step 1:

Download

Go to www.mozilla.com
Click the 'Download Firefox - Free' button
Click 'Run' if you plan to install Firefox now, or 'Save' if you plan to install it later.

Step 2:

Install

For Vista users, click continue in the 'User account control' dialogue box that will appear.
For XP and earlier users, click 'Run' in the security warning box.
Follow the steps in the setup programme
Click Install

Step 3:

Use!

If you check 'Launch Firefox when I click finish' button, it will launch straight away
If you did not check this box, try Firefox out! Double click the desktop icon, or click it in the quick launch bar or start menu
