    my net speed got down from 0.53 mbps to 0.23 mbps. than i reset the windows default and restart my pc and got back my earlier speed.

    Just run TCPoptimiser (it's free). Also try OpenDNS. Its DNS servers are designed to be fast. Use google to find out about these two items.

    How can you test for the speed your net is supposed to give out ? and if the bar is set higher than what its supposed to be , will this cause the computer to slower or just have no effect? thanks for the vid, could be potentially helpful
