How to jump a dirt bike. First of all, you need to be a calm and confident rider to do a jump. Jumping can be very dangerous, so again, you need to make sure you have all the protective clothing on - a good set of boots and a helmet.
You'll need to approach the jump at a good speed, otherwise you won't get the wheels off the ground. And you'll need to be sitting in the right kind of position, or preferably standing in the right kind of position, on the machine with your knees gripping the tank of the bike and your elbows and legs slightly bent. As you approach the jump, you'll need to power up towards the jump, in the right kind of gear for that jump.
Now, the right kind of gear for the jump is the kind of gear that you need to be going fast enough to get the wheels off the ground. You'll only know this by going over the jump again and again and again. As you get to the top of the jump, you'll know when you're going the right speed; the bike will start to come off of the ground.
Perhaps give the bike a little pull as you get to the top of the jump and that will help the bike come off of the ground and fly nicely through the air and you'll land. When you've done your first jump, the only way then to go is bigger. Go a little bit faster, a little bit bigger, each time, but only do as far as much you feel confident with.
There are many different kinds of jumps from table top jumps, which is the kind of jump where you need to perhaps land front wheel first when you get to the landing area, or flat landing jumps where you just jump and land on a flat piece of ground. Now, all of these jumps are very, very different, so let's see a variety of these jumps. .
