Okay, how to jump on a bike. Well, how to mount a bike is probably a better description. Normally speaking, you put this right hand pedal, if you're right-footed like me, in that position, so when you put your foot over the saddle, you're onto it straight away.
So, for example, straight onto it like that. Generally speaking, then sort of hoist myself up onto the saddle, and with a smooth acceleration, just pedal away. Pick up the left pedal, and then I'm off.
When you want to mount a bike, if you're right-footed like me, you've got the pedal in about sort of mid position like that so that when you put your foot into it, you can drive straight away. You put your leg over the saddle, right foot on the pedal, and then push away and then pick up the left pedal, and roll away fairly steadily in a straight line. Fairly simple.
But once you've done that, you've got the bicycle under control. It becomes second nature after a while. So you're on the bike, there's an obstruction in the road and you want to know how to get over it.
Normally speaking, you put your weight to the back of the saddle and you pick up the front wheel and once you jump it, you push your weight to the back of the saddle and the whole bike will come off in the air. And that's how to jump on a bike. .
