How To Keep Scotch
Scotch is a great investment, but it's important that you store it correctly to protect its flavour and its value. Whisky expert Andy Bell from Inverarity 121 shows you how to store your scotch in this step-by-step guide.
Top Tips
- Store the scotch in a dark place, such as a cupboard, away from direct sunlight, extreme heat and changes in temperature. Keep it away from radiators, heaters or boilers.
- Make sure you store your bottles upright. If bottles are kept on their sides, the alcohol will penetrate the cork and your scotch will slowly evaporate.
- If you are a collector, keep your bottles in sealed cardboard boxes in a locked, dark cupboard.
