How To Kickflip For Beginners
You just learned how to Ollie and you're feeling pretty confident about your ability to take on the next challenge. Now, try this awesome kickflip - detailed instructions and examples ensure you will master the technique quickly.
Kickflip for beginners - you want to have your Ollie, nice and good. Ollie feet always, and for the kickflip, you're going to want to have your toe just a bit bowed back than you would for an Ollie. That's going to give it the flick.
You don't want to flick down, you want to flick yours out, if that makes sense, so it's going to be hop, flick out, which is going to send the board spinning, and then you've just got to spot the catch and land it. It's all in that front foot. It's the same old Ollie pop, but as you're coming up, you're going to flick out, the board's going to spin, you're going to spot that catch, and feet back down.
Once you've got the kickflip on the flat, you might want to try it in a bank or off a block, down some stairs - always, speed's the key. I'll try and show you on the bank. And that's how to kickflip.
