How To Lighten Your Skin

Today, I'm going to be showing you how to lighten the skin. So, we have Belle here and we're going to do this fairly subtly, so still keeping the skin moist and looking natural. So I'm to use a skin base from Illamasqua, and this is a beauty balm and it's very moisturizing.

Beauty balm is like the newest type of skin care craze that came over from South East Asia and they are kind of primer stroke tinted moisturizer bases. So, these are best, I think, worked in with the fingers. If you start kind of at the center of the forehead and work out, you can see there, it's a very subtle lightening.

You get some beauty balms that are very good for anti-aging, some that are brightening. This is more of a brightening one. Lightening the skin is great if you're going to be wearing quite a theatrical look on your eyes.

It looks quite good with kind of dark smoky eyes as well. I've done the whole area apart from the eyes. Because the eye area is a bit more delicate, I'm going to use a brush for this.

Try and use something quite big and fluffy. I'm going kind of dab it on, take off the excess that's on the brush and then kind of blend right the way up and into the eyebrows. So, dabbing it into place and then blend out, generally, people have most of their darkness around their eyes, you might need to layer more than once.

I'm just going to go slightly underneath the eyes as well with the same brush. I'm going to get quite close to the lash line, simply dab and repeat it on the other eye. And that's how we would lighten the skin and then obviously, you would go in and you would do your kind of blush, your eye shadow and you'd finish the look however you choose. .
