Hi. In this video, I'm going to show you how to lock. Now, the lock sometimes gets confused with the pop.

A pop is when you're tenting your muscles and jog with them. So, for example, this is a pop. Okay.

Some people do call it the lock but real lock is the funk stop for the real Campbell, also called Don Campbell lock. It's when you are tenting your muscles but you're going to isolate certain body parts from the others. So, today, I'm going to teach you to do a basic lock.

So, three basic steps: step number one, you're going to flick up the knees from the elbows, so you've got like a fork shape, you're going to take your hands through your side, here comes the isolation, you're going to isolate your elbows so tense as hard as you can pushing your elbows out, pop your right leg and push into your left heel so it's like a pose at the end. And you can do the other way as well, so you go step one, down two, step three, you would do the same with your elbows, they're pushing out like a chicken, pushing out, left leg popping out, sitting in the right hip and posing and coming back. So if you did it faster, this more of a funky style rather than just a robot style, and to summarise the lock, what we've actually done in this video is the basic lock.

There are other styles of lock-in's as well such as the scoop bot and stop and go, and the basic lock. The three steps are arms in the air, be in the fork position so so your head's in the fork, push your arms down beside and then hit the pose, isolating the elbows outwards each time. .
