com. Hi. Today I'm going to talk to you about how to look good in a bikini.
Of course, there are the obvious things - have your legs shaved or waxed, a fake tan's always good, but most of all, you need to feel confident in your bikini. So it's important to pick the right shape for your body. What I'm going to talk to you about is different shapes of bikinis, and how they work for different body shapes.
First off, we've got the apple body shape, which carries its weight on the tummy. I would say that it's less flattering when you wear a bikini, so what you want to do is try and go for an all-in-one swimsuit. This swimsuit is a really good example of how to cover and disguise a slightly bigger tummy.
The ruching detail really flatters the stomach area rather than drawing attention to it. Also, it's really flattering on the bust because it's got cups in it. The other body shape it's quite difficult to wear a bikini with is the pear shape, because you carry your weight around your hips.
A really great way of disguising the hip is something really cute like this swimming costume, which has got a little skirt detail, which just flatters your hips and disguises where you're carrying that extra weight. Alternatively, if you're a pear shape, you could go for something like this short. It covers a little bit more of your bottom, and it just flatters the thigh more when you're wearing a swimsuit.
Then you've got the hourglass. Hourglasses usually have a bigger bust and big hips, but we've got that tiny little waist. So, really good for an hourglass is to have a swimsuit that's got a panel top which really flatters the hips, but then you can really go to town with the top section.
So you can have a halter neck, which gives you support; this has got straps more. This has also got underwiring, so it means that you can go strapless, but you need that structure and you need that hold, otherwise you're going to look a little bit droopy. Then we've got the strawberry body shape.
Now, with a strawberry, you usually have broad shoulders and smaller bottom. So, what I recommend is to have a strap that's going to kind of disguise the shoulder area. So this is a really great one.
It's also good for a bigger bust, which most strawberries have. So it's got that support, ruching detail, but it's got a really secure strap which will keep you firmly held in the swimming pool. This has also got a slightly larger knicker, which means that you can fold it down and you can create a low or a high waisted panty, which is really really great for around the swimming pool even if you've had too much at lunch.
Then you've got the rhubarb shape. Rhubarb shapes are straight up, straight down, which means you haven't got much of a bust, but you also haven't got much of a waist. So, this is a really really great shape for a rhubarb.
Basically, it kind of enhances the bust because it actually has an extra padding, but it means, because you're very slim, you can go for that strapless top without having to worry about an underwire. Another really great shape is this, the halter neck. This actually gives you a little bit more of a bust, because this panel underneath pushes the bust up, and by drawing it into the neck area, it gives you more support, so it lifts you a little bit more.
With the rhubarbs, you can really go to town, wear whatever you like, but definitely try and enhance your bust area because it will make you look more even. So, I hope you've enjoyed these tips. Just take into mind what body shape you are, and wear what suits you best.
