We can lose a stone by doing our exercises regularly and religiously and eating well, low carb foods and high protein foods. And maybe you can treat yourself to a fattening meal once in a while.
If you're wanting to lose a step, there are two strategies to work on. You need to work on your nutrition and lifestyle and then you need to look at your training. And as soon as the nutrition and lifestyle, the more you move, the better.
So if you've got a sedentary job, try and walk around as much as you can. Get off the bus early, walk that extra bit to the office, walk up the stairs, don't take the escalator. These things might sound trivial but they all add up and work on your burn the better.
In terms of nutrition, most of us already know how we eat well but we're a bit lazy. Try as much as you can to have low carbs, low fat, high protein, four, five meals a day, get rid of alcohol, get rid of all foods with toxins in them. Be good, five, six days a week and then have one day to do what you want.
That will be a good tip. And next, we have to look at training. Now, when you want to lose a stone, most of you would mean a stone of fat.
So it's important we still retain muscle but also burn fat. The best way of doing this is by doing resistance training with high wraps so it's a little bit like cardio but you still tone the muscles. I'm going to show you two exercises, one for home and one for the gym.
If you're at home, the best thing you can do is a squat first press up. It's quite hard but work up to it. Jump back, press, come forward.
Now, I'm going quite far down, big jumps, but I'm quite good at this kind of things. It would be a good idea to maybe do a smaller jump, maybe just a little one and a little press to begin with. It's very safe, it doesn't matter.
As you get better, you can have a bigger major commitment. Next, if you're in a gym, I'd recommend trying kettle bells. This is a standard kettle bell exercise.
It's called a two armed swing. Tones my whole body, burning fat, helping losing weight as well as toning muscles. Do a hundred at a time, beginners start off eight kilos, more advanced maybe go to twelve or sixteen kilos.
