How To Make A Burlesque Fascinator

This is how to make a burlesque fascinator. Fascinators are used quite a lot in burlesque, both on stage and for girls that just go out and dress up and be beautiful. There's a couple of different chiefs actually we might start with first.

And so for example, we've got a plain black headdress here. If you're going to wear a red outfit, very, very simply on goes the red, it's already a red outfit. Same again, any of those types of things, out of blue, out of, well, you know, flower, anything that associates your fancy.

Again, another one, adding some veil to bored fascinator is another quick tip to making it burlesque looking fascinator. Adding a big flower instantly makes it look more burlesque. If you have got something that's quite big like this and you've got something that's expandable, if you put it on through here like so, you then have got a completely different looking fascinator that makes it look very top-hattish.

It's very glittery, very glamour, beautiful. Another kind of way that I use quite a lot is a very, very simple 1920's kind of flat on your scalp, kind of as so, very, very easy to make. All I've done is just cut out a piece of cardboard like this, cover in a piece of fabric, any fabric you want, any fabric you're going to choose to decide to wear.

Again, nice little backing to make it quite clean, that goes on the back again, round the circle. Cover it again in any kind of material you so want. So, here's I've thought about a lace.

And that will just sit around, round that circle like so. So, you glue it nice and pretty. That goes on the back.

Again, very aesthetically pleasing, hides all those lines. All the lumps and bumps. Again, with this, you can pad it, make it a lot bigger hat.

You can add certain things to it and anything you want to do. This is super easy though. You need one of these little clips so it'll go in your hair.

Again, glue line down there. Once this is all stuck together and looking pretty a little bit of a stick on there and that will slide really easily into your hair. Maybe a couple of grips but it will keep on.
