How To Make A Chicken Burger

Chef Martha Swales shows you to how prepare some very moreish chicken burgers with a delicious lemon pepper mayo.

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 1/2 lettuce
  • 3 mayonnaise
  • 2 smoked paprika
  • 2 sesame seeds
  • flour
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 3 eggs
  • breadcrumbs

Method

Mix the flour, paprika, salt and pepper together in a large dish. Cover the chicken breasts with the flour, then place in a large dish with the egg mixture to coat them. Then, place the chicken in a large dish with the breadrcrumbs and sesame seeds to add the final coating.

Heat some oil in a pan. The oil should be around 1 - 1.5 inches deep. Cook for around 4 minutes.

To make the lemon pepper mayo, mix the mayonnaise, lemon juice and a generous amount of pepper in a bowl until combined.

Serve the chicken in a bun with some shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced red onion and a dollop of lemon pepper mayo.
