How To Make A Cupcake Bouquet
In this film Jo Gathern, professional cake decorator, shows you how to make this impressive cupcake bouquet with just a few simple tools, a little time and a few cupcakes.
You Will Need
- 1 basket
- 1 heavy rock
- 1 florist foam ball, covered in cling film
- bubble wrap
- coctail sticks
- coloured buttercream
- tissue paper
- ribbon
- tape
Top Tips
- If using a basket, use a foam ball smaller than the top of the basket so the handle of the basket doesn't get in the way of the cupcakes.
- Ice the cakes once they are firmly attached to your florist's ball, as they would get ruined if you iced first and then tried to secure them on!
- To make rose icing, pipe a swirl starting in the centre and going outwards instead of starting from the outside and going inwards as you do with a normal icing swirl.
