How To Make A Curly Ponytail

Now, I will show you how to do curly ponytail. I have created straight ponytail, which you can see in my previous video. Now, we can transform this straight, shiny ponytail into curly using straightening irons.

I am going to use this small tool. These are small strengtheners, which are really great if you are travelling, you can keep them in your office drawer for emergency and you can also use them to curl the hair. Take a small section of hair of the ponytail and clip the rest away.

Using the straighteners, bend the hair over creating a curl. Take another section, grab the hair, run the straighteners through and curl it. If you want a more defined curl, use heated tongs.

The curl will be tighter. To have the curls more defined, we will use hot tongs. Again, take a small section, clip it in and wrap it around, make sure you move the hair slightly, so the ends get curled up as well.

Leave it over a few seconds, it gets warm and just release it. As you can see, we transformed the straight ponytail into curly and for better effect, I took a small section of hair from underneath, wrapped it around, and carefully secured it, just to finish it off nicely. For better effect, I would recommend to blow dry the hair curly and then use the tongs, then it would be tighter curls and would have the longer lasting effect.
