Ingredients

  • brown fondant icing
  • yellow fondant icing
  • black fondant icing
  • water

Method

First, make the mane. Roll a piece of brown fondant into a ball and roll out thinly. Cut the mane out using a large blossom cutter.

Cut out the sections of the head, body and limbs from yellow fondant. Roll the head section into a ball and squeeze onto the mane, using some water. Roll the body in to a sausage shape and taper down at one end. Roll four small sausage shapes for the legs. Flatten the front legs slightly at the back and attach to the front of the body by brushing on some water. Roll out a thin sausage shape for the tail and attach.

To complete the head, attach smaller pieces of yellow fondant to make the ears and the muzzle. Create a mouth using a knife. Add eyes using rolled black fondant. Finally attach the head using some water. Lift the mane up and shape into place.
